Job description

As a Procurement Specialist you play an essential role in our organisation. You support the Category Managers and help ensure that BYK locations both regional and global can order raw materials smoothly and efficient and in line with agreements.

Thanks to your structured way of working, attention to detail and initiative-taking approach, you contribute to an efficient and well-organised procurement process.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include:

• Support in establishing transparency on current regional/local purchasing volumes and contracts, determining future demand for selected categories/materials.
• Supporting contract management (frame contracts and single contracts) and first-level supplier issue resolutions on quality, logistics and quantities.
• Monitoring and reporting on category and supplier performance versus targets, including risk management and opportunities.
• Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding of suppliers.
• Collecting stakeholder feedback for continuous improvement.
• Request offers and negotiates for non-strategic raw materials.
• Responsible for the master data in the ERP system for Procurement department
• Responsible for requesting and organising documents for the approval of raw materials and to follow law and regulations.
• Take care for the control and approval of invoices and request credit notes when needed.
• Handle complaint management ensuring clear communication, root‑cause analysis, and effective follow‑
• Ensure consistent and reliable pricing maintenance by monitoring changes, coordinating with stakeholders, and keeping all pricing information up to date.

Your profile

• MBO+ level, preferred with several years of experience in a procurement role.
• Knowledge of supplier management, procurement processes, and contract types
• An initiative-taking, independent and result-driven working style, with the ability to maintain overview in a dynamic environment.
• Confident, extroverted appearance and strong communication skills.
• Enjoy working with interface functions and in international teams.
• High level of self-motivation as well as structured and solution-oriented working style.
• Proactive hands-on mentality and ability to work in a team.
• SAP knowledge as well as MS Office skills.
• Business English fluent in written and spoken language.
• You are based in the Netherlands and eligible to work here.

What we offer

• A challenging and varied role in an international organisation in the process industry, parttime 32 hours per week

• The salary for this position ranges between € 2.983 and € 4.146 based on fulltime employment and depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
• Eight percent holiday allowance and a 13^th month
• 30 days of annual leave, based on full-time employment
• A fixed term contract, with the option to extend. Additional benefits such as travel allowance, a home-working allowance, and a pension scheme.
